Both of us have been Ohio natives our entire lives. Having grown up in rural communities, our goal had always been to return to the rural setting to practice medicine. We both became board certified in Family Medicine, which we found the perfect choice of specialty for a small community like ours in Malvern, Ohio.
As Family Practitioners, we treat the ENTIRE family. Starting with the birth of the newborn, ending on the day of passing from this world to the next, we see all ages. We feel that seeing the entire family is invaluable in providing quality medical care, giving us so much more information that is just not obtainable when care is fragmented among multiple specialists.

Joni is a Graduate of Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine and an Ohio native, originally from Tuslaw, near the Massillon area.
Steve is also a Graduate of Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine. He is an Ohio native also, having gown up in Ashtabula County.

As healthcare reform pushes on, many of us can only wonder what the future holds, but one underlying topic that the reformists continue to bring up is the concept of the “medical home”, where everyone would have a personal physician to provide for their needs and coordinate their healthcare. Family Practitioners have already been doing this for decades. Too bad the reformists didn’t follow our lead sooner!
